What is a tolerant price to clear for a 13 yr. old-fashioned registered Morgan?

She was once well trained but was bred and hasn't be riden in 18 mths. before that riden once or twice a month for 2 or 3 years. Before that shown.
Try looking at some web sites that list Morgans for mart to see what others with similar bloodlines and levels of training and show records are selling for. Remember that the prices tabled are asking prices and that the horse market is depressed right now. There is no 'blue book' value for horses, so at the come to an end of the day, the question is 'are you willing to payment what the seller is willing to accept?'
The horse marketplace is suppressed right now due to many factors including the poor cutback.

I would suggest such a horse may be worth $500 - $1500 depending on the market you're in and what you intend to do beside it. A 13 year old, registered, high point, active show horse purchased for showing will be worth more than a horse individual used for non-show every day use.

I forgot to add - you haven't mentioned it - have you have the horse vet-checked? A vet check, especially if sh'es been allowed to lounge and lift up a foal, is imperative to your taking on a good horse.

it depends on her health history, how powerfully trained she is, how well she fits with you and how knowledgeable you are roughly speaking horses. It doesn't matter really how much she knows at this point as it does how much you know. An inexperienced horse owner can purchase a perfectly capably started, kid-safe horse and own it very successfully for a matter of months or years, then switch on having problems. it's also quite possible depending upon the 'horsenality' of the horse that such a person can revise very well, have a lifelong friend and never encounter a lick of problems. One entry is for sure: inexperienced horse x inexperienced person = disaster.

One item to consider with horses - it's not a good idea to breed them after leave them open for a few years, then breed them again, next leave them open for a few years - they will develop issues. If she's to be a broodmare, she needs to be a broodmare, whether she's to be a riding horse, she needs to be a riding horse.

She's probably a bit set in her ways and she's going to challenge you - adjectives horses will - to determine your level of leadership or dominance over you. You really need to ensure you know what drives a horse, adjectives you can about their nature, what leadership vehicle to a horse and how to interact with her on her level. If you don't understand these things, she test you and determines she's the leader rather than you, you'll have behavioural problems. Even whether you THINK you're being dominant, you can be being artificially so, she'll know it and act even worse. So simply physically self dominant is not the proper kind of dominance.

Consistently doing the right thing with her is the proper type of dominance.

I suppose this prospect is certainly withint the range of a person - particularly if they have some knowledge, experience and/or a professional to back them with the horse and they've done the proper budgeting to ensure a secure, sound, not dangerous place for the horse for her life.
With the way the bazaar is going, I would say that $850-$1200 mark. It depends where you live. Where I live, they are literally giving horses absent due to the lack and expense of feed. If I had the money, and the nurture to spare, I would offer $850-$950 for this mare. A little more if this mare has papers. Hopefully, this help!

within that order, If has a good show copy or pedigree, the horse could easily sell for 6K or higher.
If your courageous enough, you may want to jump on it and rein it around a bit and get a quality for her.
Make sure you get her vet checked.
uhh... can't think of anything else, but I'd remuneration anywhere from 1000-3000 for her if that helps.

Answers:    My family have been breeding Morgans over 90yrs. I own, breed & show Morgan horses, too. A 13yr old can go for free adjectives the way up to 20,000.00$$.It depends on the training, the show record, the bloodlines the horse has. What are they asking?? For a apprentice you should pay no more than 5000.00$. They are truly awsome horses that will give you their hearts! Good luck!!
A Fair Price for a 13 year old Morgan would be about 1000 but this also depends on the health what you want the horse for and whether it comes with all health related shots, de-wormers, etc..
