What is a Horse..? ?

Is a horse just a beast of burden to you or is it something that you can relate to emotionally? can you connect with it spiritully? What is a Horse to you?
Both. A horse is livestock, just like humans are animals. But in veracity I get really attached to the horses I'm around and all their little quirks.
I hold no problem with using horses for their meat as long as it is done humanely. Or with horses working in the traditional bearing on a farm and treated as working animals as long as they are treated with dignity and respect.
I believe that a horse is an animal with spirit, and strenght and good looks. I know that many people treat their horse as a way to win at shows, or a path of earning a living.

I treat my horse as my best friend. When he is upset, I am upset and when he is happy, I am happy knowing he is doing great. He completes who I am, and minus him, I would be a big mess. Overall, horses are much more than just the animal they portray, they are a symbol for greater power and love.

Mine is everything to me. The more people I group, the more I love my horse.
Mine are way more, and I've never used horses as "beast of burden", which implies that they are somehow less deserving of humane treatment than I believe they are. In fact, I find the devout depictions of animals to be such that they encourage abuses which I detest. While I believe horses should be put to work, I also believe we have a responsibility to get the message their nature and to work with that nature when we ask them to work for us or near us.
A horse is a 4 legged mammal. It has hooves. It is a pest to some, a friend to others, and at times a beast of burden.
To me it is both, it does work when work is needed done.
He is within for me when I need a friend.
When I am lost, he helps me understand.
He chooses me over his flock, over his food and over freedom I am privileged and lucky to call such a creature 'friend'.
He is something I will never take for granted.
I love horses because there attractive. I love to ride on them.A horse to me is like any other animal such as a dog or cat or a pet that you really love.I can't really connect with it spiritually, but that's to say that you can't.
Answers:    A friend, a partner, and a mentor. As horses have moved away from their jobs as beast of burden, they are not often viewed so much as "partners" as pets and show animals. However, I think it is crucial to view them from all perspectives. here is an anonymous poem that I meditate rings true for how most people experience their horses:

When you are tense, let me train you to relax.
When you are short tempered, let me teach you to be lenient.
When you are short sighted, let me teach you to see.
When you are quick to act in response, let me teach you to be thoughtful.
When you are angry, let me inculcate you to be serene.
When you feel superior, let me teach you to be respectful.
When you are self wrapped up, let me teach you to think of greater things.
When you are arrogant, permit me teach you humility.
When you are lonely, let me be your companion.
When you are tired, let me fetch the load.
When you need to learn, consent to me teach you.
After all, I am your horse.
One of the most stunning creatures that God created. The ones that I've come to know love me no matter what, and I love them right back. They can be a lot of sturdy work, but I love them all the same. :)
Horses are everything I close to about myself, everything I wish I could be and everything that people should be. They are content to listen, they consolation you when you cry and they are always up for a good gallop when you need one.
was my best friend and exercise buddy.
