What is a immensely upright safe and sound bareback wipe?
I want to get my mom a bareback pad so she will be able to ride my horse subsequent year on our trails with me. She won't be able to ride in a saddle and we both agreed a bareback wad would be best.
I've heard a lot of bad things something like them, and just wondering what you guys thought which brand would be best? It needs to have apposite stirrups and a non-slip girth on it. I would like it to have dee rings in the front for a breastcollar and grazing slide near a strap to hang onto, but if not then I could freshly sew them on myself, but they would be preferred. Needs to be sold in US too.
Stirrups are NOT safe!! You get the false since of warranty. You get one that has D rings for a breast collar, that stops the slipping. I ride in my bareback wad 95% of the time. All over my ranch in WY & the mountains in NV & adjectives over southern CA. You should look somethings up & show your mom that stirrups on a pad are DANGEROUS! Bad idea, safer without.
I own always heard that a bareback pad beside stirrups is very unsafe. I think that because they don't have a tree, they are intensely unsteady on a horse's back and the stirrups will accelerate the problem.
Why can't she ride in a saddle?
Good luck and focus safety first.
The trap with bareback pads is the stirrups. Without some benevolent of bars to keep the pad from rotating around the horse, you're pretty much lost when you put your mass in one of the stirrups. Indians used to (and still do in Central and South America) make wipe saddles that do have bars (usually made from two bundles of grass) for that point. The commercially produced pads I've experienced work to make bareback riding a bit more comfortable (they pad you from the horse's spinal column bone and provide a sweat barrier), but you need to take the stirrups off for sanctuary as you can't help but put your weight in a stirrup when a horse executes some sudden maneuvers. Keep looking for one next to bars of some sort.
the parelli bareback wipe. it's expensive, but totaly worth it. you can order it at parelli.com
Answers: You will not find a bareback pad with adjectives of these specifications. But you will come close
There is a good one on ebay right now. Item # 300276686041. Item description: Royal Blue and Black Bareback Pad w/ Girth Horse Tack. Just go to ebay.com and put this item number within the search. It's only on for like 7 more hours.
Here is a relationship to a bareback pad that is a little more for a student: http://www.chicksaddlery.com/Merchant2/m...
http://www.nextag.com/bareback-pad/searc... is probably the best link I've found. You'll probably want to go with the Cowboy Justus Bareback Pad.
Good luck
