real rider? I know everyone has different opinions but...what is yours?
They are general public who finally realizes if something is their fault. They don't blame it on the horse, they bring all of the responsibility for whatever happened. These are ancestors who gets excited about teaching or chitchat about horses. They are the people who immediately submerge into a conversation when anything horse related comes up. They are the people who know that riding is a sport, and that anyone who says it isn't, you say that you would approaching to see them do what we do. They are the people who love the horse smells that other people find disgusting. These general public find help in there horses that no other human could replace. They know that horses are the best listeners. Who are these populace? They are real riders!!
By my definition, a definite rider is someone who sticks to a horse like glue, no matter what the situation. But that doesn't engineer them a real horseman/woman. I was a real rider until I begin the long journey of education that made me into a real horsewoman.and I'm still on that pass through as I never stop learning. Just being able to stay on the stern of a horse means very little without the rearing that develops your hands, and your legs, and your seat, and your balance, and your familiarity of every tool you employ and exactly how it works and why it works, and how it impacts every tissue on your horse's body. Real riders are a dime a dozen, but indisputable horsemen/women are a bit more rare.
Answers:    To me it riding effortlessly to the point that it dose not even look approaching you are cueing the horse at all. The horse is happy and willing.
To me its someone who is Truly passionate for horses. Someone who doesn't need a big fancy barn, or the best looking, already best trained horse to own a good time or a good ride. Someone who is happy a moment ago being around horses- someone who, when they go to work at the barn, they don't dread getting up that morning like some individuals do with their jobs.

A good rider to me is someone who is in good spirits placing in the ribbons, or out, just the same as they would unbeaten first- because its about having fun, and trying your best- even though, we all hold 'those days'.
I real rider is someone who can listen to their horse. They can tell as soon as their horse is stale. A real rider lets everyone know they can not do what they do without their horse. The show the partnership that a horse and rider should share. I valid rider rides for fun and won't get mad at their horse if they fall down or don't place in a show. A real rider's best friend is their horse. A real rider also know how to fall.

Here are some quotes that describe what a real rider is:

“There is no secret so close as that between a rider and their horse”-Robert Smith Surtees

“It is not plenty for one to know how to ride; they must know how to fall”-Mexican Proverb

“No hour of life is wasted that is spent contained by the saddle”-Winston Churchill

“To me horses and freedom are synonymous.”-Veryl Goodnight

“A good rider can hear their horse speak. A great rider can hear their horse whisper, but a bad rider won't hear his horse even whether it screams at them.”-Unknown
Someone who puts there horse before near self. Like the horse gets feed before they do, the horse get cooled off and watered before the rider takes a rest. The rider feed, grooms, tacks, untacks, cools the horse off and puts the horse away for the light of day.
Someone who puts there horses welfare before there checking picture balance. (In other words, if the horse is sick or injured, the vet is called when they are really needed and food is other provided).

a real rider to me is someone who goes out and competes for the fun of it.
someone who goes to gymkanas or shows and doesnt aid if they get a 2nd or a 3rd instead of a first and is happy to own gotten a ribbon
a real rider is someone who even if they dont get a ribbon e.t.c they dont really effort because they are just happy to be there and chirpy with their horse.
a real rider doesnt brag, isnt cocky and just luvs to be round horses.

thats what i believe make a good rider.
To me a real rider is someone who rides to be appropriate not just for fun.
A good rider on the other hand is someone who can influence the horse surrounded by a positive way that is beneficial to the horse and surrounded by turn the rider and NOT just someone who can look pretty on a horse. It's not all about appearance.
A valid rider to me is someone who has passion for the sport and true love for there horse/s.
Someone who puts in attendance horse/s well being before them self.

Its adjectives about passion really. To me how many ribbons or cups your own won dosnt really mean a thing. Its about dedication and 100% comitmint.

a real rider is someone with a excitement for horses. They are also a true horseman, and know how to train, (correctly and effectively) ride, take care of, groom, feed, vet. A material rider is always looking to learn more. A real rider have patience and doesn't react on his/her emotions.
A real rider is willing to learn and doesnt read aloud they know everything, a real rider can properly ride and handle a horse, a real rider go to shows to school there hrose and have fun (and doesnt meticulousness what place they get), a real rider is some one who is willing to help others in need being cocky about it, a real rider is some one who treats at hand horse right, A real rider isnt afraid to admit they made a mistake
