What type of western saddle should I capture?

What kind of western saddle should I buy? I want to continue to take curriculum and do some trail riding. What sort of saddle do I need? Is there a "multi purpose" type? and what is a good brand first name to get in Canada?
Fit is very important as it keep your horse more comfortable, most horses do not need full quarter horse bars because they are not that wide surrounded by the withers. I agree that brand doesn't matter but QUALITY does as it contributes to the comfort for you and your horse as capably as a safety issue. Ask around and some people will probably be glad to let you ride their saddle to see how it feel and if you like it. Just keep surrounded by mind that if you pay 150 for a saddle that's basically what you got a 150 saddle and I seriously doubt it will hold up at all. I prefer Hereford or Martin if I'm buying bad a rack somewhere but that is a personal preference and you need to find what works best for you and the type of riding you are doing.
There are plentiful 'multipurpose' types - but it really depends on what you ride and what you're comfortable with.

For example, a 'multipurpose' saddle wouldn't be good for cutting or roping. Circle Y and Tucker be paid a number of great saddles for trail riding that are pretty multi purpose - however, they often enjoy flexible trees that are not safe for roping.

I suggest that you get what you salary for. There are synthetic saddles you can buy pretty cheap, but they get nappy quickly and maybe don't provide the best support for horse and rider - they also don't hold their value well, so if you start out beside a $500 saddle, within months or a year, it could be worth half that easily.

I work at a tack store division time, and we are one of the few Tucker saddle dealers. We find that people like Tucker saddle so well, that if a person buys one, take good care of it and even years later decide they want a different one or they have a new horse requiring a different build of saddle, we can re-sell them for nearly the cost they paid for it which is reduced from the price of a alien one. In fact, it's one of the very few we'll actually rob on trade to allow a person to buy a new one - if they sit on our used saddle rack more than a month, it's a strange point - they go very quickly. However, they are not cheap - you'll spend a couple noble on one easily if you add up the second pieces like headstall, reins and breastcollar.

Billy Cook
Bighorn
Circle Y
Double J
Dale Martin
and many more

I would propose an all-around saddle
My favorite is Wintec. But another right one is Billy Cook. I like Wintec because they make pony saddles, english saddle, western saddles, eyc, etc. They are also very comfy. Good Luck!
Answers:    it's most important that the saddle fits the horse. own an experienced person help you find a saddle that fits his withers properly when you're mounted. brand first name is not as important as fit, especially for just pleasure riding.
