Why is in that scarcely any?
equine events on tv?
they aren't very popular. besides most people that are interested contained by that kinda stuff would rather be out riding than watching those things. i know i would haha. they wouldn't make enough money rotten of it because enough people aren't interested. which stinks but is true
That's the question I ask myself- first off, winter is not really the horse event season- that would be summer. And the ones that they put on TV are the big ones, big rodeos and big events, but events and rodeos, etc. are usually very long, and there are "more important" things to cartridge, such as baseball or something. It's all based on how many viewers are watching it, and etc. The one and only equine thing that there is a lot of stuff on t.v. on is Horse Racing, it's short and exciting. There are two channel I know of- The Horse Racing Channel and the Horse Channel that feature equine stuff all day, every year.
However, I would love to see more equine stuff on television.
because saddos prefer to keep watch on cricket for hours on end or golf? instead of a few hours of eventing mayhem, but honestly its just not popular plenty
Because theres not enough viewers!! horse riding is nowhere in close proximity as popular as the likes of football or rugby and these kind of sports so the tv stations neglect the like of us who have an interest in it and would sit and watch it 24/7 whether given the chance!
xx
There are equine events on TV, but not many and they are on concealed channels. Try Animal Planet and ESPN like 3.
As for your question, in attendance are not many equine events on TV because they don't bring in enough promotion dollars.
I know exactly what you connote!
Horse and Country is absolutely crap sometimes to be quite honest.
I have discovered that Sky Sports 2 is presently giving us coverage of Spruce Meadows so don't despair. But don't want H&C most of the time either! All they have is fishing and cooking!
Because the tv stations are all run by men so they have to have men sports on apart from for footy because it is played by a bunch of girls! And as we all know men like to watch girls rolling around fake it!
I am guessing not enough interest or money in it. Probably money is in the equation one mode or the other. It would be nice to see some equestrian events on tv though.
Because they simply are not popular enough - they do not garner the viewing data required to make it worth the channel's while. Makes you sick to think there's enouugh people who will sit through golf and SNOOKER for go's sake when here supposedly isn't enough to sit through a decent coverage of burghley horse trials. I was furious next to the piss poor burghley coverage, not least because the coverage for badminton on bbci was so excellent!
i know its sooooo annoying horse and country have only fishing farming item grrrrrrrrrr
but back to the question i dont know but why dont you ask the network (tv)
Answers: It's not an incredibly popular television sport in the US. I read a great article one time about how contained by Great Britain and other European countries horses are as adored as professional athletes, and the US needs to learn to rspect them in matching manner. Long live Equestrian Sport!
