Why is it illegle to...?
Why is it illegal to bury a horse on your own property? I know it's only in some places but within places where it's not, why?

They're worried in the order of contaminating the ground water.
It's not where I live. They would a bit you do that. There's certain type of lime you can buy and put in the ground before you bury your horse. Then sprinkle it over the horse after you bury it. This stops all contamination that might have spread.
Answers: Usually it has to do with wet run off.. the burial site has to be x amount of yards from any marine source (ie: well) meant for human consumption. Each town has different laws, but whether your property isn't big enough, you cannot bury your horse there.

it varies by where on earth you live. i know in some areas you're not allowed to bury a horse, but we can here. my gelding is buried here on my farm contained by fact.
