Will a size 15 saddle fit me?
I weigh 127 lbs. and am 5'5" tall. I am uncertain if it is supposed to be snug on me or roomy?
I think that would be agency too small. I am 5'4 and I ride in a 16.5 or a 17. My friend who is 5' tall and 90 pounds rides in a 16 and it is getting small for her..15 would be really mortified for you.
that is for english ^
Saddle fit depends upon the size of your seat, your pelvis and the length of your thigh. The shape and type of saddle can also affect the fit. Saddles also have different size twists within the tree that fit different pelvis shapes.
Go to a reputable tack shop where the staff have training in saddle fitting. Try out several different saddle to find what is most comfortable for you.
Never buy a saddle without first making sure it fits you and your horse.
You would have to try it on.
But whether it helps:
I'm a 14 year old female. 5' 7", 115 pounds and i hold a 16.5 saddle that's a little big so i can grow into it. :D
Are you riding English or Western? The sizes are different. It's also very prominent that it fits the horse! But that wasn't your question.
Anyway, try these.

I hope this helps!
First, start with some broad rules of thumb for proper western saddle fit for the rider:
Keep in mind that Western saddle seat size refers to rider fit and have nothing to do with how the saddle fits the horse
There should be approximately four inches between the front of your body and the fork (or swells).
Your butt should rest on the base of the cantle, but should not be pressed against the stern of the cantle.
Some prefer a tighter fit, some looser. In general, its better to have a saddle a smidge too big than a smidge too small.
All western saddles come beside a stated seat size. Seat size simply measures the distance from the base of the horn to the top middle of the cantle. This distance is then expressed as a size within half-inch increments from 12 inches to 17 inches. The following will give you a very general model of saddle sizes:
Youth: 12"-13"
Small Adult: 14"
Average Adult: 15"
Large Adult: 16"
Extra Large Adult: 17"
Hope I could help and good luck!! :]
im a little shorter than you and i can use a 16 1/2 - 17 1/2 and sit in the deepest part of the pack of a saddle and sit up striaght and see if there is room for 4 fingers and no more
I be under the impression that the horse wore the saddle.
I doubt it would fit you. You probably need a 16, 16 1/2, or 17. I am 5'2 almost and wiegh 105 lbs. , wearing a 15 1/2.
You would have to try it on.
we cant exactly bring up to date without actually seeing you, hun. sorry--> i ride horses but i can't exactly recount without seeing you.
Answers: Western or English? That make a huge difference.
