1 brown Dutch rabbit + 1 black Dutch rabbit = 3 black & 4 gray bunnies?
The mother has black markings, and father has brown. But there are no brown kit...is that normal?
They are supposedly both pure bred from diff litters.
yes its normal
Yes it is normal. I own breed a broken blue to a broken orange, both had brown eyes and I ended up beside a solid white with red-eyes, and a blue with blue eyes. It all matter in the pedigree. What a breeder told me is, a rabbit has a blanket over it (meaning the coat), so you dont know what you will get. Hope this help. =]
Answers: pretty normal, also keep contained by mind that as they age they can aquire the other colors, hence: my dutch/rex's, female born cream/white, male born black/white, a year following the female is now cream/white/black and the male is black/white beside some cream..go figure..
