2 question give or take a few my puppy?
ok number 1.hes kinda smelly, i realize that dogs don't smell like colone but its not a dog smell either, its bad and kinda strong...im crate training him and he sleeps surrounded by it and stays in it while im at school. is that causing him to smell impossible? hes 5 months.
second. im crate training him and when i go to school i walk out a couple of old towel pieces in there..so hes comfortable...when he pees on them i wipe in washing mechine. and put it in in attendance again. does that make him still go in in attendance because of previous accidents?
Yes and yes.
you need to supply him a bath and see if that helps.
You also want to wash his crate out with a mild bleach and rinse Real Well. This will grasp rid of the ammonia smell.
Well if he is peeing in his crate is most likely rolling within it to. You should give him baths.
Second I would not leave any towels or blankets in near with him, it absorbs his pee and he is learning it is ok to urinate within his crate. Just leave a bed in there that fits the size of the crate. build sure the crate is the correct size. If it is to big he will go to the bathroom on one train and sleep at the other. It should just be a tad bigger than him so he has room to stand up and turn around. Then when you come home bring him straight external to go to the bathroom.
Hope this helped.
you are over crating him
and dogs do not smell... has he been checked over by a vet
again,, you are crating him tooo much...
1) give the poor dog a bath might smell better. also yes even though you clean the bedding it can still create him smell really bad.
2) Yes he's doing this because you haven't told him he can't do this behavior.
Answers: clean the dogs crate every time you acquire home, and, as for the towels, you should realize that a dog can smell very, very capably. He probably smells the urin from previous accidents like u said. If u thieve an ultra violet light u can see the urin from previous accident, so u may want 2 use a pet urin spray.
i think crate training is ok, but if u train him 2 go external in the grass, he wont have 2 sleep in his own feces.
im 14, but i know reasonably alot, i wanna b a vet when i grow up.
HOPE I HELPED!...:]
