A domestic for my bunny?.?
My dwarf bunny, Angel is starting to out grow her cage. I have been looking at cage at Pet Smart but its hard to judge the size of them because they are in boxes. I permit my bunny hop around the house for exercise everyday but i want her to have a nice big Comfy cage with lots of room and toys, and places to secrete. Can you recommend a cage for me?
your cage must be really small cos dwarf rabbits are small within nature.well, i rather you tolerate it out in your house all the time, they are not meant to be caged, it could be fun too, have a rabbit run about in your house, and it makes it ALOT easier to bond and bring under control it. provided its litter train too otherwise your house will be filled with poo
If you can a dog x-pen would be fantastic. An XL dog crate is also sufficient. Or you can make one as big or as small as you want out of the Whitmor storage cubes from wal-mart. Not the one's from target since they redesigned theirs and they are no longer safe. I haven't found a manufactured cage yet to be precise big enough for a adult rabbit.
Answers: there are places that make cage for rabbits. I like pointer hill pet supplys you can find them online there is also klubertanz I am certain there is other ones too
Most (probably all) of what is available at PetSmart is too small for a rabbit. Check out a puppy play pen instead: http://www.sandiegorabbits.org/adoption/... You can build a homemade dais for it to keep your floor clean! They are a great housing solution for rabbits. Alternately the bunny condos found here: http://www.leithpetwerks.com/ are awesome but are not at all cheap.
