A few ferret examine?
Ive been wanting to buy a ferret for a few months now, it's NOT a spur of the moment thing.
1. Can i nurture them steak or chicken i had for dinner, like little peices?
2. Also can i put it in a 2 and a partly foot wide cage and 2 foot long cage?
3. Would they stink up my unharmed room?
Thanks guys!
No meat!! Can enjoy bits of cheese though
Won't be happy in a cage adjectives the time. Need lots of exercise and love to hide.
Ferrets have a musky odor but if kept verbs shouldn't be to bad.
Only if the steak or chicken is unseasoned beside no additives, not even salt or pepper.
You should get a bigger cage, look at most multi-level cage. Ferret nation is the best you can get but the super pet multi-level is decent too, and the right size. Try for a minimum of 2x2 bottom and 3 feet towering. Don't keep them in the cage adjectives the time, they should be out running around and exercising for a minimum of four hours a day.
No they don't stink if you take keeping of them properly, scoop their litter box every day, keep their nouns neat. Do not bathe them more than once or twice a month.
Answers: 1. No you shouldn't feed them scraps. It's not good for any pet.
2. They call for a cage specifically designed for ferrets.
3. Only if you don't preserve their cage clean. Domestic ferrets are normally descented.
Before you consider buying ferrets or any other pet you need to research their care and requirements. Google them, draw from some books. Responsible pet ownership starts with knowledge.
i had a ferret as a child and man did it stink no matter how much i bathed it.
they are also designed to kept in a sizeable cage or avery style enclosure so they have room to play and run around and are also best kept within pairs plus its not ideal to feed them human food, id stick to ferret food from the pet shop and fruit and veg
Yes you can feed them chicken. Not certain about the steak but yes you can try.
Ferrets need a high protein diet,And meat is elevated in protein. And for a treat you can.
If your going to keep it in your room after really you don't have to have a cage as long as your room, house is ferret proof.I enjoy a ferret and just let it roam the house.I have 3 litter boxes threw out the house. One contained by each bathroom and one in my bedroom. They are just small corner litter pan.
And no 1 ferret is not that bad. They have a musky odor. But when you go to a pet store they stink doomed to failure because there are so many in a small nouns.
And over bathing with cause it to stink more.
Like i said i have one and she is profusely of fun. This is the second ferret ive had.
Most people nurture their ferrets high-quality cat food, such as Iams, Science Diet, or ProPlan. High-quality food may cost a bit more than grocery store brands, but your pet will eat like mad less and be much healthier. We've found that an 8-pound bag of dry food (usually $10-$15) last two ferrets a couple of months, so the cost of feeding them even high-quality food is not greatly great.
1. NO
