Anybody Else be aware of like in the order of this?
Just curious, I got my beagle from a pet-store, she did have kennel cough and some parasites when my folks first get her. Now she's two years old and is a healthy and mild temper dog. But one thing though, I had read that some folks from PETA had thrown flour on Lindsey Lohan at a film premiere just cause she was wearing a fur coat. I aim true I feel sorry for puppy mill dogs and animals used for coats and I do eat meat and dairy products but I mostly stick to seafood, lamb and poultry...only grasp beef once in a while(no offense to anyone) but that move was a little extreme. From what I've hear PETA has kind of gone of the deep fall with certain things. I mostly shake off stuff that involves animal rights activist, some of them tend to go over-board.
Anyone else feel the same?
you bought your pup from a pet store - thus you contributed to Puppy mills - you rewarded them by putting money into their pockets when you bought your pup.
PETA go overboard for sure - it means anything good they do is damp by some of the wacky stuff they do..
at its core PETA does not beleive ANY animals should be kept as pets.
never never buy a pup or any pet from a pet store again - you reward the industry and support them keeping mom and dad dogs in terrible situations the only mode it willend is if people REFUSE to pay for pups from stores - forcing the stores to go them cheaper - losing money and stopping doing it
...I'm not exactly sure how I feel going on for this. Most people object to fur, but odds are they are wearing leather shoes. I know I do.
PETA have completely lost it's mind. I dislike Lindsey Lohan as much as the next person, but throwing flour/paint or what enjoy you, doesn't send the right signal. It shows that being repulsive is how you get your point across.
Answers: imo PETA activist are a bunch of overzealous, whack-job, fanatic, bullies. Everything they do is "extreme." They have no business inflicting their "morals" on other relations or even less so on the "pets" of the world.
No pets? As if...
I've recently rescued a Yorkie that be abused and used as a puppy machine, having litter after litter of puppies in a puppy mill for YEARS. She be rescued from somewhere in South Dakota and brought to Canada by a shelter organization. That's a long way for a bony little undernourished 4 lb dog with no tail (because it was docked off completely), benign mammary tumors and mostly rotten teeth (she single has 6 left after the dental work to clean them up) to move about to find love. Her sister had advanced cancer when the rescue took place and died on the way here.
Am I a bad personage because I want a dog in my life to love and cherish?
In the course of the last 5 months I've helpfully house trained her and taught her how to behave as a "pet" (using some of the same positive reinforcing technique used with children.) I've taught her that walking on grass in a undamagingly fenced yard isn't torture it's freedom. I've shown her how to walk on a leash and I've seen her excitement the first times we go to the dog park and I let her off it to play with the other pups within. I've shared in her triumph when she trusted us enough that she overcame her fear of crossing over the threshold of the doorway on her own to come put a bet on into the house after being outside. I've watched as her demeanor have changed from scared and trembling with her ears flat against her head within terror when anyone approached her to seeing her wandering around during my daughter's 3rd birthday party last weekend next to her ears up - inquisitive and liberally tossing out beseeching looks to get little gifts of chicken appetizers from our family group guests.
Do you think the dog isn't grateful every night when she's curled up with me amidst the cozy pillows on my down comforter after her all-you-can-eat buffet of Performatrin kibbles, Ceasar slices and adjectives the choicest bits of various other little treats I sneak her way? Isn't she happy to own spent the day in a warm house instead of locked surrounded by a filthy cage? To have slurped up some fresh water from a verbs bowl whenever she felt like it? I can tell you that the look surrounded by her eyes says pretty clearly that she is.
She was rescued from the scum of the mud that was treating her unbelievably poorly before God put us on the same towpath and we fortunately found each other. I can see it in her eyes that she's glad we did.
I eat meat, cheese, milk, eggs. So does the dog. I hold a leather jacket and shoes. PETA can go jump in the lagoon.
Its like the time they threw paint on nation on the streets for wearing fur coats. PETA is useless and hypocritical. Watch Penn and Teller's Bullsh*t when they talk about PETA.
Well, Im kind of conflicted on this one... I agree that fur should basically be not permitted, but yes, I think that extreme acts like throwing flour on someone one and only acts to discredit a group - people dont take them seriously. The solitary way to bring about real translate is to change the laws and legislation.
PETA went off the deep wind up a long time ago. When they kill more animals than they 'save' there is something wrong. But then again, most of the animals they 'save' die besides as they are not meant to live in the wild.
I drink meat, I have pets, I do own some leather. Does it bother me? Not really. Leather comes form the cows that are eaten. I am not going to go lacto-vegetarian, and my dogs are not either.
Fur animals are bred for the coat, not the meat.
When groups like PETA throw blood (where did the blood come form anyway) or otherwise destroy fur coats, the individuals just get a new one, thus bloodshed more animals.
