Anyone experienced near a surviving rabbit?

i had a pair of female rabbits from like peas in a pod litter. sadly one has died this evening after being off-colour for a few days. i have nursed her with the surviving rabbit as she wasn't contagious and obviously we hoped she would get better, and i let the rabbit see/sniff her dead sister. obviously tonight she is low and i feel so sorry for her.will the surviving rabbit adjust to being a single rabbit? they are/were 5 years old so the rabbit that's gone could have a few more years yet. I don't particularly want to return with another rabbit but i would if it is going to be awful for the surviving rabbit to be on her own for the rest of her life. whether the advice is to get another how long a gap should at hand be before i get another.
Answers:    I would not get another rabbit. At the age your rabbit is it would be too unyielding for her to adjust to anew rabbit.
Also unless you know what the deceased one died of bringing in another rabbit now could be desperate for the new rabbit.
She will adjust to being alone. rabbits do not have long permanent status memory like a dog or cat. Just spend more time with her and give her lots of attention.
it might be devout to get antoher bunny, when mine died we bough the girl who was left a exotic friend because she was upset, now they are best friends and are fine together. try getting the same breed and a boy explicitly neutered so they do not fight. yuo can take your bunny to a rescue shelter and they will find a bununy they ahve that will work all right with her for you to take home. remeber bunnies are social and dont approaching to be lonely.
