Anyone own any experience next to animal swearing?

I am doing a project for my school on animal abuse and I'm required to interview someone who has some experience beside it (whether it's part of your job or you just own witnessed it). I was wondering if there be anyone who has witnessed animal abuse and tried to do something about it or have a job/major volunteer at a shelter, etc. that would be willing to answer a few (3-5) questions by e-mail roughly speaking it.
I have 2 rescue animals that were abused that I know ample of their situations to answer a few questions, if this counts, surface free to contact me...
