Are hedgehogs apposite pets?
I would like to purchase a hedgehog. Are they good pets? Can you hold them? Are they friendly? Cages? Are the cages effortless to clean? Do they need a certain amount of attention? What do they munch through? Do you need two of them, for friends and company? Please give me some info.

Answers: Hedgehogs are great pets. They are friendly, but they can sometimes get worried. Holding them is fine, it might hurt if they are curled up with their spikes up, but if you button them a lot they will uncurl eventually and begin to recognize your scent. They are playful creatures but are loud at night because they are nocturnal. Their cages usually should be cable or glass. If you choose wire it is easier to clean. Glass is harder to verbs but gives you a better view of your animal. If you use glass, form sure it has an open lid. It is normally good if you give them attention, or they will settle down and less welcoming. Their favorite treat is meal worms, but specifically not their only diet. You can buy hedgehog food online or at the pet store you bought the hedgehog at. You do not need two of them, they are fine alone as long as they have you. Their favorite toys are cat ball and wheels, just make certain their feet won't slip through the wheel while they're running. Do some research and make certain they are legal to have in your state, afterwards again if they are selling them at pet stores they probably are.
i believe hedgehogs are good pets. they're so cute! they seem holdable. their sense of self probably determines their freindliness. their cages probably would be just like other cage when it comes to cleaning, just be careful about what products you'll use and sort sure they aren't harmful to your pet. i think own just 1 would be fine if you played with it a touch everyday.
i was planning on getting one in the future but i read somewhere that they arent immensely sanitary, so that changed my mind.
