Can Hermit Crabs mate whether they are not implicit the the deep?
I had a hermit crab for about 3 months and approximately 2 days ago I bought a new hermit crab to go within the same habitat. I noticed that they were other next to each other and they had their legs and claws contained by each others shell. Can pet hermit crabs mate??
Yes especially when they are in an ocean ambiance that would give a hand them.
It's very rare that outsider crabs will mate in the wild; most hermies that lay eggs are already gravid before they come into captivity. Even whether you can get them to mate, it's almost impossible to raise the immature. They often die before they crawl on land. I've hear of some people successfully raising them, but it's pretty rare.

I don't see why they shouldn't be able to. As long as the environment you are keeping them is seems automatic to them, they should be fine.

Answers: Hermit crabs have to lay their eggs within the ocean in order for them to hatch, it is possible for them to "mate" surrounded by captivity, but you will not get little hermies running around.
