Can someone tender me step by step directions of how to verbs a rabbits shut within?
I got a bunny about a week ago, and I think the shut within needs to be cleaned now, but how? I wouldn't want to use any poisoness cleaners, or not clean it correctly. It's a metal/plastic round up with bedding.
Remove the rabbit from the cage
Dump out adjectives of the bedding
Rinse the bottom of the cage with water
Spray the bottom of the enclose with a mixture of vinegar and water
Scrub the bottom of the cage near a stiff brush
Rinse the bottom of the cage with water again
Thoroughly dry the bottom of the coop
Put in fresh bedding
Put in fresh food & water
Return the rabbit to the hold
I am pretty sure the part you are struggling near is dumping the cage without out getting poop and bedding all over the place. I used to hold a rabbit so I know what you are going through. Take the cage apart and get a huge garbage sack. Slide the bin inside the garbage bag and stand the bag up. My rabbit used to enjoy a specific "bathroom corner" so I would usually kick the bin while in the trash pouch untill I noticed that most of the matter was removed. I would pinch the cage into the back yard and spray past its sell-by date with a hose then used some dishwashing soap to work on those tough stains. Scrub until your hearts content and rinse rotten. Put in new bedding, fresh food water and a treat and next assemble cage back together. During this time my twin would give my rabbit a hip bath and clip his nails so then we would put clean rabbit surrounded by clean cage.
Answers: Vinegar diluted in water will grasp rid of the calcium deposits from the urine. Rabbits naturally use the bathroom in the back vanished corner of their cage or pen. It is really easy to litter train him; just put a box of Timothy hay (I smudge my rabbit's with newspaper so it's easier to clean) big enough that he is competent to fit in it completely wherever he tends to use the bathroom and he will love it! Bunnies guzzle the hay and poop at the same time. He will also love digging in it. Then for the rest of the cage, adjectives he needs is a carpet square or something soft so his feet do not draw from sore. Wire bottom cages are terrible on their feet, so I propose getting something without holes through the bottom, or covering it with carpet squares.
PS> never supply a rabbit a bath! Their fur is too dense and thick, you will never get him dry and he will freeze to passing. Rabbits are also easily scared, and giving it a bath would be traumatizing, as resourcefully as blow-drying it. They groom themselves, and they cannot cough up hairballs like cats, so it is important to brush them, especially when they are shedding, which happen about twice a year.
