Does my C&C shut within entail a roof?

it is for a guinea pig.
No, unless you have predators within the house.
As 3/4 of the others who answered enjoy correctly said, you do not need a roof on your cage unless there are other household pets that can access or hurt your guinea pig. Cavys are not built for climbing, it would hold to have extremely low sides for your piggie to get out.
Answers:    Not if you don't have any other pets that will disturb the guinea pig. Typically, guinea pigs are the wrong "shape" to climb too far, so if your walls are a judicious height, it's fine to leave the roof off.
Yes. Guinea pigs are markedly good climbers. They can get out anytime.
If the cage sides are probably high, g.pigs don't usually climb to well and you should be fine. If you own large dogs though and the cage is on the floor ,then I would put the roof on.
