didn't you say ya just get her.
You baby just got removed form his coop mates and was moved to a completely different envirement.
give him some time, hes unsullied, next time he bits the crap out of you scream "ow" and scruff him and gently drag him on the floor.
and whether youwant your ferret to stop escaping get the ferret nation cage, its secure.
or u can blow at his mouth/face.
remember it take about a year for most ferrets to grow and to trust their owner.

I enjoy a friend that takes in ferrets no-one else desires. He and his wife are experts.
Apparently, they have quite ranging personality, but can often be very vicious. He has two that cannot even be on impossible to tell apart floor as each other - even at opposite sides of the house, as they go crazy.
Some are extremely cuddly, and others cannot be handle at all. In any case, training an animal takes closely of patience, and repetition. Good luck!
Answers: You have to teach the ferret not to bite. It is like as having a small puppy that likes to nip. They need to be "told" not to do it and the correcting wants to be immediate and consistent. It will take some time but ferrets are smart.
You right to be heard she tried to escape. That isn't unusual. Ferrets are very curious animals. They love to explore everything and hate to be caged. Even holding them isn't a automatic thing for them. They need to get used to you so they will trust you.
mine was like that on the first few days i have her too. the reason they bite is to teeve on u. And mine is more than a year old and still bites me somwtimes. It is a young ferret and so it will become fully developed and get used to you later on. ferrets r prettyu smart so they CAN bring back out of the cage if it isent sealed prpperly, so b certain to do that.
