How can i be help for grieving for a pet?
My rabbit passed away yesterday and i need help. How long should i lurk for another pet? i need that special bond. How should i remember him in a good channel but overcome the grief??
I coped with the loss of my cat by knowing she be so loved and had a good life.
and she is not suffering immediately.
although I feel she was 'stolen 'from me way tooo hasty ,I am so thankful for all the years of joy she give me.

I am so sorry you lost your bunny. That is difficult indeed. Get councelling for your grief. Grief is grief no matter what the source. I would dally a while to get another one as you don't want to try to turn the new rabbit into your former one. Each animal has their own character and too many people expect their new pet to be their behind the times pet.
Have you had a little memorial for your rabbit? You can do anything, say for a moment poem, a little prayer, send up some balloons, pallid a candle, whatever you think will be nice and will help you honor the love and friendship that be your rabbit.
Hang in there and get serene with yourself.

Have you buried him? You can visit his grave everyday and maybe say some nice words or freshly sit there, you can plant flowers.
Only you know when you are ready for another rabbit, getting one right away could whip your mind off your other rabbit.

Well you loved him very much and cared for him.
So he knows you loved him
hes also surrounded by a better place no pain or fear.
so just cogitate of that really
and around 6 months for a new pet because you do need to remember him aswel.

Sorry about your rabbit. I would celebrate is go as well as mourn his death. Go on line and read the Rainbow Bridge poem. It will clear you feel better. Also make a scrapbook of pics of him and silly things he did. it will steal awhile for you to cope. Time helps heal. Know that he is other in your heart and with you. And I am sure he would want you to furnish another rabbit a good home as you gave him or her. You will know when it is time. Name the hot rabbit a nickname that you used to call your rabbit that passed away. So sorry.
