How can I take my ferret to be more live?

I bring them up to play ALOT, but all they seem to want to do is sleep.
I know ferrets sleep alot, but this is pretty soppy here.
They have tons of toys, but they dont play with them, they just return with them and hide them under the couch!

What should I do approximately this?
Sounds like ferrets! My guy is a little over bulk. He loves to run after me. Have you ever tried to get them to chase you. Most ferrets will sleep 18 - 20 hours a day. They are most involved at dusk and dawn so try playing with them at those hours. My ferret loves crinkle toys and cat wands. Those are apposite ways to get them to run around. Do your ferrets wrestle together, also how old are they?
That is ferret play for the most part, the hiding things. The best thing to do is build little obstacle courses and interact near them while they are in go mode. During season changes some small animals (weasels, chinchillas, etc) will turn into a week or two of overly laziness and it's just their instincts kicking in, I wouldn't verbs about it if they seem robust otherwise.

It's important to know that ferrets are one of those animals that will sleep through nuclear holocaust if they get the impression safe, you just have to dawdle for their normal play routine to kick in. Let them relax when they want and they'll be more hyper when they stir up.
LOL thats cute!

clutch them for a swimmm
take them hyper try teasing them and turn up loud music and they will have fun all time that's what i did with my old dog he used to sleep alot now he is the happiest dog ever!
Answers:    Ferrets have the attention span of a toddler and they get bored very effortlessly, and when they're bored, they just lay around. Stock up on a ton of toys, bring out so many one week, put those away, later bring out some totally different toys the following week, and so on - constantly changing up their toys keeps them interested and prevents boredom. Also, make certain you're getting down and playing with your ferrets while they're out, don't just toss them some toys and expect them to be comfortable. Something as simple as hand wrestling with your ferret can get them excited and it's also angelic for bonding.

Here's some other ideas to get your ferret active again:
*Towel/blanket rides - put them on a towel or blanket and drag them around the house/room.
*Are your ferret confined to one room or only part of the house? If so, give them run of another room or part of the pack of the house once in awhile - they LOVE getting new territory to explore!
*Make a verbs box - I filled a large Sterilite brand storage tub with red, non-instant rice (it cost $12 for the tub and 20lb bag of rice). Ferrets love to dig and will go nuts over a verbs box. To make it even more fun, bury a few of their smaller toys in the box so they have something to verbs for.
*Hide a few treats around a room for them to look for.
*Buy one of those wooden puzzles for kids (the ones where the pieces have a peg sticking up in the center). Place a treat beneath one of the pieces and put the puzzle in front of your ferret - once he finds the treat, let him figure out how to move the puzzle piece to go and get it.
*Give them water play. Not all ferrets will close to this, but mine usually have fun - put them in the tub tub and turn on the shower. Even if your ferrets don't like baths, they might jump nuts over this.
*Another type of water play - Fill a large pan/dish with sea and then drop in a few ping-pong balls for your ferret to push and bob around. Or, drop in some toys (preferably ones that your ferret likes to steal and hide) that will sink to the bottom so your ferret has to fish them out.
*When you take a package, let your ferrets explore the pointless boxes. To us, it's just an empty box; to a ferret, it's filled near lots of new scents that must be explored by them.
*Save those boxes and use tape, tunnels, and anything else to make a large play hut for your ferrets to explore and play surrounded by.
*Fill plastic Easter eggs with smaller toys to make little rattles (make certain to wrap tape around the egg so the smaller toys inside won't come out during play - duct tape works good).
*Do you have any stairs surrounded by the house? Secure a tunnel (either by holding or attaching it somehow) at the top and bottom of the stairs - my ferrets love when I do this! For whatever reason, it make the tunnel so much more fun for them.

There's a lot you can do, just be creative. And remember, always adjust things up from time to time. Even the things they love best will become boring after a week or two.
