How come my pet bunny never falls asleep?

I've had my bunny for more than a year so far and i've NEVER EVER seen her sleeping before! ive see her lying down and resting, but never sleeping. Why not? Does it have something to do with her species or something? Shes a Netherland Dwarf.

rabbits can sleep with their eyes to a degree open so you most likely have see her sleep. It's nothing to do with her breed it's just that respectively rabbit is an individual and has different habits.

Rabbits are capable of sleeping with their eyes instigate.So it will be hard to know if a rabbit is asleep or not.This is what they do in the windy to trick predators into thinking that they are wide awake while in fact they are promptly asleep.

Answers:    all rabbits are similar to this is you leave her for a a while then go spinal column in to the room very quietley you may see her getting up then streching .
she will sleep when you are asleep or when she can hear not a soul or is if she thinks there are no threats to her around her.
this is because to most animals they are prey so rabbits hold to be very aware they are a bit like dogs because dogs only sleep for short whiles at a time because they must be alert as they are for gaurding your house.hope i help and good luck.
