How do I consolation the owners of a rabbit that died suddenly?
We were taking care of a friend's pet rabbits while they were absent for the week. Last night one of the rabbits was dead when we go to feed them. The other rabbit was still ok. I've come to the conclusion that she probably died because of a heart attack from a loud noise or something, because she have no other symptoms 40 hours earlier when we fed them. There was still wet and food and everything, so that's the best answer I can think of. I feel really guilty and awful because these population were animal lovers and are no doubt taking this bad. They call not long ago, and we told them about it. I've made myself feel better about it, but I don't know how best to consolation them.
Answers: I had a rabbit die on me suddenly with no pre-symptoms and it really hurt I can tell you. But, nearby is nothing you can really do for them other than be a friend and be there whether they need you. I don't know if it sounds corny or not but if this rabbit be like a family member , so to speak, afterwards maybe setup a small memorial service for them. This will show that you are sincere. Just an idea but as long as you are in that for comfort and kind words then you enjoy done nothing wrong and shouldn't blame yourself. Death is a part of life and you own to remember that it's God's will and he decides when and where it happens, not us. So, it can't possibly be your imperfection as he already decided it was time. So, good luck to you and God bless :-)
