How do I convince my mom to consent to me bring back a ferret?

Ok, so Ive been wanting a ferret for a few months and I have been researching give or take a few them in those months. Im in 8th grade freshly to let u know. Anyways, I also purchased the book Ferrets for Dummies and read the whole thing twice. I am predisposed to pay for everything including the ferret. I havent quite asked my mom yet but I regard as she knows I want one because i bought a book on them. The only other pet I have is a chihuahua and I payed for her. I know that ferret cost about $500 and I am willing to give that amount of money for them. I know that they are a really big responsibility and Im of a mind to devote my time to them. Plz help me convince my mom to let me get one. Oh yeah, my dad doesn't fastidiousness if I do or not, he just says whether my mom says yes.
Well why do you need to convince her whether you haven't asked yet?

Tell her everything you told us and see what she says.

Also, that $500 is just to start. They entail an annual vet checkup and shots. Figure in food, litter, toys, and if there is any accident or illnesses for the vet as well.

I know you've researched, just letting you know :)
You give the impression of being like a pretty responsible 8th grader. Kudos. I would ask first, if she says no, ask her what it will appropriate to let you get one. Show her how commited you are. Tell her what you have knowledgeable and interesting and fun facts about them. Do some chores around the house, help her out. Also, get your Dad contained by on it. If she doesnt care, see if he will help you convince your mom, he will probably be better at it, hes probably have to do it alot in his time with her.
Maybe find some info for her.
Research sum stuff, even print it off and permit her read it!

Or just get one...she'll soon see how cute they are..and wont be able to say-so no!!
xx
well. i hold had 3 ferrets. they are a lot of work. the $500 chunk sounds a little steep. i only paid going on for $150 each for mine. but you will also need a cage. i wouldnt reccomend anything too fancy but sizeable enough to allow for some play room. there are also vet visits, shots, litter, food, toys and so on. kind sure you are ready to get one, and try to put in the picture your mom all the cool things about them.
Answers:    TRUST ME! if she already knows you bought the book afterwards she knows you want one, if she didnt want you to get one i nearly can guarntee she would have told you right away b4 you bought the book or while you were looking at it. so im guessing she is AT LEAST considering it!! which is really polite! what you should do first is start telling her all the cool things about ferret, then be like hey mom would you ever consider letting me buy a ferret if i took comfort of it etc. just explain to her all the reasons you want one. i enjoy a good feeling she will say yes because you nouns really mature and responsible =]
also thats good that you have one little dog cuz ferret and little dogs love to play together =]

did you know that ferrets can swim and that they love playing in the snow?? i know someone who has one and hers love to form tunnels in the snow,it's sooo cute! but you have to be careful no to lose them!! lol

besides ferrets are really awesome animals so i hope you can get one!!
good luck! =]
Have you thought about a rescue ferret?. If you search on rescue ferrets, you will find folks who need to find homes for ferrets.
Will the ferret and your dog get along? Do you enjoy enough time to care for the dog and the ferret? Are you aware that a ferret cannot live in a enclose? Ferrets must have time to run and play unconfined by a cage - they can be house wreckers if you are not prepared for their antics.
I would be concerned in the order of the time commitment and the money to upkeep two pets, especially because the pets will keep you at home at a point contained by your life where you might want to go out more beside friends, and have funds to do other fun adventures.
