How out-of-date do most horses carry to be?
okay, i know ima seem stupid asking this, but how old do horses generally live to be? i know tons of stuff about horses and have been riding for a while immediately, but for some reason i don't know how old they get to be...back please?...thanks :)
45 max
Maintenance practices have improved so much over the years that horses do tend to live longer. I have be following a 37 year old arab that is still competing in serenity riding. My husband's first walker was pushing 40 pretty hard when he have the heart attack that finally led to his death. And I hear of more and more horses contained by their late 30's. I suppose the average would be late 20's early 30's.
yo mama
ok well most live to 30 but if in good health cared for can live to way over
The average age is approximately 25 or 30 years, but I have a 45 year old Morgan who won Keyhole at the state fair when he be 42! It all depends on health issues, care, and even breed. Morgans tend to live a unbelievably long life
Twenty five years and older.
Answers: I know a 45 year old pony! They can live to be quite elderly with the proper care and feed.
Here's an article more or less a horse who lived to be 51:
