If you own a dying animal, do you "put it asleep"? or allow your pet to overrun on his/her own?

this is such a complex thing, I feel for you. If your pet is suffering, the kindest thing to do is to put it down.
It is a horrible decision to own to make, but we have to make the right declaration for our pets, not ourselves. It's not a time to be selfish. If your kitty is suffering, give her a little bit of peace. We've be through this with our family dogs, and although really really tough, staying with them while they're put to sleep brought a bit bit of comfort to us, knowing they weren't suffering anymore. If you decide to go ahead near it, and you think you can, hold her while she moves on. All the best :(
Answers:    It really depends on the circumstances. If the animal's pain can be managed using medication, and it's quality of vivacity is not completely gone, then I think there's nothing wrong next to allowing it to die a natural death. It's part of existence after all, and I think if it's not completely vital to end an animal's life prematurely, then it have the right to go through the natural process of dying.
On the other hand, whether the animal is in unavoidable pain, or it's condition can't be manage, and is causing the animal's quality of life to drop below fitting standards, then having it put to sleep is a perfectly adjectives option.
Only you can make the choice for your pet. It's always frozen to know which is the right thing to do, and no matter what, if you love your pet, you will finish up second guessing yourself. Just make sure that anything you decide, you make an educated result, and one that you are as sure of as possible.
Don't think that euthanasia is the only choice -it's not cruel to tolerate an animal die of natural causes, if it's discomfort is managable. You may even agree on, depending on the illness, that you want to withdraw treatment, and stick only to dull pain relief until the end, rather than drawing out the loss of the animal pointlessly, with excessive medical intervention.
And it's no crime to put it to sleep if you feel it's suffering or trait of life no longer justifies keeping it alive.
This is a really tough judgment. But the wise move is to put her down. It will save her having to consistency the pain, as well was you. But purloin her to the vet and see if they can give her anything. I hope it all works out for you and your cat.
It truely is a very tough decision but its purely not right to make her suffer. I had to make duplicate decision a few years ago and it was what was best for her. Its a easier said than done decision because you know you'll be the one hurting afterwards, but you cant think of yourself think of your sick kitty.
The best point is to put her down if she's suffering.
