It's extremely important that your rabbit starts eating ASAP! If you can't get him to get through you have to bring him to the vet right away to avoid serious complications! If he doesn't eat for 12 hours that's a huge indicate that his gastrointestinal tract have stopped moving food which is threatening if untreated! Make the appointment!!
Answers:    Hi...I have be raising and showing rabbits for 10 years. The most critical thing here is that he drink, especially since he have diarrhea which will make him very dehydrated. Most potential his system is just in a little bit of shock from going away his home and then being moved again. Stop giving him access to any fruits or vegetables forthwith and get some electrolytes from Tractor Supply or a feed mill near you to make the addition of to his water, some gatorade in his water will work within the mean time. That flavors the water to entice him to drink as well as helping him to retain every bit of river possible. Also give him some quality, fresh timothy mix hay and pellets from TSC or a nurture mill to try to get his digestive system back in working decree and to try to lessen the diarrhea. Keep a close eye on him for the next 2 or 3 days and if he still does not eat or drink later I would take him to a vet the specializes in exotics (as most vets know subsequent to nothing about rabbits). Fruits, vegetables, and pet store and grocery store brands like Fiesta should other be avoided, fruits and vegetables can cause fatal digestive problems and diarrhea like you're seeing very soon. And low quality feeds from pet stores and grocery stores are not a good concept as you can never tell how long they have been sitting on a shelf or what is surrounded by them exactly. The best diet for pet rabbits is a good quality timothy pellet nurture with 15-16% crude protein from TSC or a feed mill. Some brands I like are Purina, Heinhold, Showrite, Producer's Pride, and DuMor. They normally come in 25 or 50 lb. bags for $6-$12, so they are much cheaper, safer, healthier, and will ending you a lot longer if kept fresh by storing the feed contained by something like a rubbermaid bin. Hope this helps and please feel free to contact me beside any more questions you may have.
P.S. If he does not eat his pellet then you can get some Calf-Manna which has a licourice flavor to instil him to eat, just sprinkle a tiny amount (no more than a tablespoon) across the top of the pellets and tolerate him smell it.
Take him to the vet. It wont cost that much. Tell the vet what's wrong and that you don't have a lot of money. He will give you something to unemotional his stomach.
Okay! Any animal considers you a part of their "COLONY or PACK" When you leave them it breaks their spirit and heart! This is not your reprimand..However this could be the bunnies reaction to this or maybe while under your friends thinking something happened like he hit the rabbit or said BAD whatever bunnies describe was...this happens many times even whether it is a dear friend...but some people dont give animals the right treatment...Good luck in your luggage -Lily Allen
Ask your friend if anything happen while it was under his care(accidentally dropped it, etc.), or maybe the rabbit's lately mad at you for leaving him? You didn't mention any timothy hay. All rabbits need timothy hay within their diet to help them digest and keep their system running smoothly. So if you haven't given it Timothy hay surrounded by a long time.. it may have a blockage. Try giving it some hay now, it might be able to move the possible blockage and hay's other a favourite of bunnies anyway.. so it'll be good to attain something into it's poor little belly. Also, rabbits can't have lettuce. =/
It needs to turn to the vet.
