Pregnant rabbit, what do i do??
i've got 2 rabbits one male one female... i be planning on getting him neutered when he was old satisfactory but had a carry on moving houses and all over that couldnt capture it done so now they've started mating, bad point is now i got no where to put them as they dont vend rabbit hutches here in turkey.. its mad, i did have them living on big veranda but we've had problems with house and had to move to latest place but theres nowhere for the rabbits, if she is pregnant now what do i do as they in a small plastic hold through the day and i let them out to run when i'm home. i dunno what to do... and do i have need of to separate the male from female ? they seem so cosy together adjectives the time, i dont want to separate them but i dont know what i have to do if she's pregnant.
Separate them now or he will re-breed her at the birth. Then own her spayed- they can and will do a 'pregnant spay' on a rabbit, which would solve your issues. You can reunite two to four weeks after the spay.
you want to split mum and dad up or you'll have even more! rabbits only are pregnant for 30 days so be ready for the babies. hand over mum a nesting box (cardboard box) hay, sawdust, nesting fluff (pet shops sell it for about 99p) and mum will make a nest. she wil verbs her fur out. when the babies are born dont touch them for a few weeks or mum will kill them. good luck
I had this problem .i seperated them . get a used baby play pen and put article down and she will have her babies . Some time lots of them .Call your local pet shop and you can donate the babies .
Buy some boxes or wire and things like that for the cage and yes you necessitate to separate them but do it carefully they might get mad at you whether a baby comes make smaller little cages for them and you'll be fitting!
Answers: You should of had them separate anyways. Until he be neutered. Now there are going to be more rabbits that no one will want.
