Question almost a living?
So I am a senior and I have applied to some schools and have gotten surrounded by. the major I was going for was zoology/ wildlife conservation. Problem is that I've loved animals adjectives my life but I hear that working with wildlife either resources field studies(just studying them) or zoo keepers. So I was close to "cool I'll be a zookeeper" then I found out they pretty much pick up animal poop all day. Not that I'm apposed but that's the highest thing. I've gone to every website and I am discouraged. I know this is ridiculous but does anyone know of a wildlife animal job that is mostly involved beside just interacting with them?
Why dont you do animal training? thats simply just working with animals...theres a little bit of cleaning, but you capture to work closer with the animals :)
Hmmm perchance a recovery center. If you could do like education programs? Like when they bring the hawk into a college and talk about conservation? Although thats probably something you work up to. Sorry. I guess it comes down to the fact animals are animals. And adjectives animals do basically 4 things. Eat, sleep, reproduce, and make waste. So, youre gonna hold to deal with poo whatever you do.
Answers: Try actually seeing what zookeepers do. Having worked near the vet staff at a few zoos and seen a lot of keeper work (and done a bit too), there's a unbroken lot more to it than that. The keepers I knew spent more time training, interacting and working on ways to improve their animals lives than purely cleaning up after them.
Or just go to vet school. One of us. One of us.
