Question roughly speaking ascetic crabs?
I have 2 hermit crabs but the temperature within my room can get very cold (as low as 60 degrees) i have a heat pad on the side of their tank but it doesnt make it heat up enough.how do i get it to the right temperature?

what type of cistern is it. i have my hermit in a plastic reservoir with a lot of eco earth mulch (very polite for moisture) i put the heating pad under the reservoir and this will keep it nice and warm, make certain to mist them so they do not dry out. the only down fall i have have with this is that the water evaporates faster so keep an eye out on the dampen dish.
Answers: you may have need of to get a stronger under tank boiler.
You can use a heat lamp.I have three boil lamps for my tank but the sand in some parts is a foot weighty so under tank heaters don't work. If you have a cup tank with glass lid it shouldn't be an issue.
