Question in the region of adopt monkeys?

is it illeagal in the uk to adopt monkeys as in taking them into your home?, ive other been fascinated by monkeys and how alike they are to us humans and on my year out of education would be interested in adopt a monkey for a zoo or rescue centre and help out if you enjoy any information please answer me.
yes its illegal
About 25 years ago, I was a postman in Surrey. At one conferral we always had to wind the window up, because the householder had a pet monkey, who liked to go into the van and steal things. One light of day, he found and ate a colleague's sandwiches.

I haven't heard anything against adopting a monkey, but they can be provoking pets, rather like a very rebellious and a very agile two-year-old human. They also bite.

Best people to ask are your local zoo, or the RSPCA, who can give you some proposal.
Ok so your cross-examine is a bit confusing are you talking about adopting a monkey close to you would say a tiger or dolphin? You send money to help near feeding and housing them and get info and pictures of them in return?

I am pretty certain you could do that.
Actualy whether you get a lience then it is legal to own one contained by th UK. But it is not easy to get it and after you do you have to hold check ups and they look at every thing like the housing diet and health and other stuff.

Here is a association anout the Dangerous Wild Animals Act 1976

But if you want to help out and not actualy own one then you could ask to do some volentire work at your local zoo.
Answers:    There is a fantastic organisation called Monkeyworld, based contained by England who, apart from rescuing a wide variety of monkeys and apes, work in rehabilitation of chimps and other species.

I am certain they would love to hear from you. www.monkeyworld.co.uk

Some years ago they used to have a scheme where you could hold a holiday at their location free, in exchange for your labour.
I think it is tolerant to say that things have probably moved on since.

They have an international reputation and whether they cannot use your services as a volunteer, may be able to recommend somewhere that might.
hiya,my mate has got one,it pisses every where, she have to put a nappy on it,but it keeps taking it of.its costing a bomb on nappies.they are really cute.
First off, you don't adopt monkeys like you adopt children. They are monkeys, not humans.

Secondly, no zoo or rescue center is going to allow you to bring a monkey into your house. Monkeys do not belong in houses.

Now, you might would know how to work at a zoo or center with them. You would probably have to start out as a volunteer, but they might would eventually hire you.

Primate ownership is not what you think it is. I enjoy 2 Capuchin monkeys, and I have the scars to prove it. They bite, scratch, slap, verbs hair, and 'scream'. Monkeys can hurt you! Even if they are only playing! You hold to have an extreme tolerance level. Most people don't. That why a few months after buying their 'baby' it ends up within a sanctuary.

IF you really want to own one, you need to know all about their caution, diet, housing, enrichment, behavior, and more. 98% of wild exotics (large felines and monkeys) die within the first 2 years because their owners were not well-read about their care. We don't need anymore of those owners. Educate yourself first! Email me whether you have any questions regarding their prudence.

Also, you will have the check the laws with your local organization. NO, you cannot own them everywhere. They are illegal in most places. Very few places allow you to own them these days.
you shouldn't get a monkey! it's not honourable to the animal
