Question give or take a few horses...?

hey im looking to save up to buy a horse and how much should i save i was chew over along the lines of around 20,000 and what breed should i get?
really depends on what breed and what you want to do with your horse. as the horse market stands right now some society cant even give their horses away. i have arabians, a paint, and some status horses. they all have their strong points and others where they are questionable in. my black arabian loves to see new things and loves to run. but he refuses to dive. and he only wants me to ride him. my grey overo arabian/quarter loves to jump! but isnt bright and breezy with traffic no matter how many hours shes ridding within it. so id say look at what you want to do then that will furnish you a better idea on what breed.
$20,000??

Do you have experience with horses?
If not you shouldn't be thinking almost buying one. That's how great horses with wonderful potential end up wasted as grassland ornaments.

What do you want to do with it?
That's a key question. If you want to get, do dressage, run barrels, do endurance, or western pleasure you need to look at different breed attributes.

I'll update if you give more info.
Answers:    Well with that amount of money I would suggest finding a moral trainer in your area and find out what discipline you want to do.

That amount will find a several nice trail horses but will not buy you a ok reining prospect so amount is relevant.

However I would suggest you not run out and buy a horse purely b/c you can. Take lessons and get to know more about horses of adjectives kinds and try several different things. I have been breeding and showing for around 15 years. Most of that with reining and reined cow horses but I have also roped done speed events team pen and many other events along the way to so I know that what I have found that I really relish is what I really enjoy based on experience.

Also go to shows both local depart shows and breed shows talk people at different barns around where you live. There are tons ways to find info and have fun doing it.

If it is your first time getting a horse stick to common breeds they are easier to take watchfulness of and a standerd horse or pony is a great idea
