Question something like Lop Rabbit?
I want a lop rabbit but need to do a little more research before I resolve if I should get one or not. Which lop rabbit is the best kind to obtain? Do they need lots of attention? Do they scratch lots? Anything you know about rabbits! Is nearby any specific website that has good information??
Here is a trellis link on lop rabbits:

I would definately do some research before you get a rabbit (lop or not) but I would HIGHLY reccomend rescuing a rabbit from a rescue establishment or a shelter. I get a few rabbits from a pet store and in less than a year 2 enjoy died. You get into breeders who don't care what they produce as long as it sells and near are lots of rabbits who need loving homes! I would reccomend two websites to start your research, www.rabbits.org and www.ohare.org. those are the sites i frequent most and i've found most helpful. i hope this helps!!
Answers: Hi...I've been raise and showing rabbits for 10 years. There are 5 kinds of lops. American Fuzzy Lops, Holland Lops, Mini Lops, English Lops, and French Lops. American Fuzzy lops are small, 4 pounds and under but have long wool adjectives over their bodies and require a lot more grooming. Holland lops are also very small, not over 4 pounds and require minimal grooming and have a flat, bulldog frontage and short ears. Mini lops are more of a medium size weighing around 6 lbs., require minimal grooming. English lops are known for their extremely long ears, 21 inches from the tip of one ear to the other. They are larger at 9 pounds and over. And French Lops are the largest lop breed weigh 11 pounds and over. All of them should make equally good pets with the right amount of attention and precision. I'll attach the website for the American Rabbit Breeders Association and the national individual breed club sites, which are the best place to start your research. Please, please find a reputable breeder to buy from. If they are a reputable breeder they do not breed for profits or sell in high numbers so they will not push one sour on you. Breeders are dedicated to bettering their breed and take great pride in their animals. Pet stores just ever know where they're rabbits are coming from and they usually have diseases and other strength defects that will cost hundreds in vet bills before enventually dying and cause unnecessary heartbreak where a breeder can better guarantee the health of the animal. Breeders also will not cost you anymore as they usually deal in non-show quality rabbits at a special pet price. Hope this helps and if you requirement help with anything else or have any other question please feel free to contact me.
