Who would win contained by a conflict? Mountain lion or significant pit bull?
pitbulls way back within time use to fight bears, and bulls.
so the odds are ceaseless.
but since there bred short and stocky now and days.
so the possibilitys are endless.
pit would acquire hurt pretty bad,
so who knows really.
the Lion..
"real" Pits are not that roomy.. the large ones are poorly bred dogs.. with wide chests and huge head, they dont move as fast as they should.. just bulked up looking dogs.. the lion would have the upper appendage over the slower dog. The dog only has teeth too.. the cat has teeth, claws, and a inbred preditory instinct.
moutain lion definitley
Definatly not you.
But to answer your rediculous sound out, a mountain lion would shred a dog. Any dog.
Answers: As Caraduckie said, the possibilities are endless. It would depend on the individual animals involved. Though much larger than a normal Pit, my Bloodhound killed a youthful adult cougar by himself and had only two extraordinarily minor scratches.
Before anyone gets up in arms over it, I live within the mountains North Idaho where wildlife/predators are abundant. At the time this occurred I be living on a small (120 acre) farm and bred show goats, sheep and swine, my then-stepdaughter was about 6 yrs aged. On the advice of the local Fish and Game Dept we purchased 2 hounds, a Bloodhound and a Plott, to help keep the cougars, bobcats, coyotes and wolves absent from the house/barn/corrals and to track down any of the large cats that were making a habit of coming within too close and grabbing livestock from their secure pens. The turning point within the decision making process of buying the hounds was the day I walk my stepdaughter to the bus stop (about an 1/8 mile, bottom of the driveway) and on the way back up I saw huge cat prints over the top of our footprints in the snow. I have the dogs bought and at home before she got out of arts school that day. My hounds were pets that also had a situation to do. They thought the were lapdogs and were exceedingly spoiled, but they were also hugely well trained at what they did and were excellent at their jobs.
uhhh, probably a mountain lion. they are much larger than a big pit bull.
:)
umm, mountain lion. obviously.
What a horrible question. Why do you want animals to suffer?
