Whre do folks gain within rabbits from ? support?..x ?

if you have or have have a rabbit where did you get it from ? ta ..x
from a petshop, rescue center, neighbours or breeders. you can find people on the internet!!
There are three main places you can get a rabbit from as other people enjoy already mentioned: these being a breeder, pet shop or a rescue centre. All have their plus and downsides to an extent but you really should enjoy a look around after deciding which type of rabbit you want and visit the animals and handle them to opt if they are right for you.
Out of the three options getting one from a pet shop is probably the "worst" one - simply because no matter how powerfully the rabbits are kept at the shop you have no idea of knowing where they in truth came from (some might say from a private breeder but you don't know whether by this they could mean a commercial breeding centre), you don't know whether their parents had health problems which could be passed on to younger generations and also for babyish bunnies any move is stressful and being in a busy shop can produce a lot of stress so personally I would say whether you can do so, avoid this option.
Then it really is a go between a rescue centre or buying directly from a breeder. If you budge to a rescue centre you will be helping to make a real difference to a rescue rabbits life span, they will usually be fully vaccinated already and neutered so you wont own to worry about doing these things yourself (at least for 6 - 12 months near vaccines anyway), of course on the downside any hereditory problems passed on by the parents you are unlikely to know about and sometimes the animals are not 100% temperament wise. If going to a breeder you can see the babies contained by their home environment and the breeder should be able to show you both parents (and possibly grandparents and beyond) and give you a relatives tree. They will also usually give you aftercare support and enough food for while you translate your baby onto the brand you want to use. Also going directly to the breeder lets you see exactly within what type of environment the babies have been raised so whether they don't look right in anyway you can go elsewhere.
Remember no concern where you go give the babe rabbit your own health check - look at the teeth, eyes, nose, and rear closing for anything unusual or any discharge/diarrhoea which could indicate a problem. Likewise anything you see on the skin or anything you're unsure of - if in doubt don't buy. Likewise whether the conditions do not look good it's best to avoid buying from that place not only so as you are not supporting them but also bad conditions can hold further health implications for a baby and could rationale you problems upon taking the rabbit home. Again anything you are unsure of do not buy! Also try to go to a breeder who is a member of the British Rabbit Council or Rabbit Welfare Association and not freshly a back garden breeder!
Here are a couple of helpful links that should give you a bit more information:
www.thebrc.org (left foot column 2nd one down Breeders Directory, click on that and it will take you to a list of UK breeders of various breeds and contact numbers)
www.rabbitwelfare.co.uk (has information on rescue rabbits and a find a rabbit page whether you follow "advice and resources")

Hope this helps :)

You can get it from local breeders, at rabbit shows (they are the best quality), at petstores, or adopt one.
My first rabbit was (foolishly) from Pets at Home. Died about three months later- hereditary problem. Was also really shy and untamed. DO NOT buy from pet shops or Pets At Home.

My moment rabbit was from an advertisement in my local vet. There is a notice board for adverts in most vet, so you should definitely take a look there.

My third rabbit is from the RSPCA. As I am more experienced near them now, I took on a 'problem' bunny- she's a dream! You should definitely not rule out your local animal charities; In fact, I believe they should be your first port of call. These rabbits deserve a new lease of life and you'd consistency guilty if you didn't get one after looking at their sweet faces! (Plus, they're virtually free- just give a nice donation).

Good luck with buying your pet!
breeders- check to see if your state has a marketplace bulletin. or go to arba.org thats the national rabbit organization and they have list of breeds and breeders by state.
I bought mine from a outstandingly reputable breeder, and I would suggest you do the same, do not buy from pet shops, do not buy from adverts surrounded by papers, do some research on what sort of rabbit you want. Talk to other rabbit owners.
I hold gotten all of my house rabbits from breeders. You can find them online by searching rabbit breeders in (your state) or by asking pet stores where on earth they get thiers. Since I look for personality, I have asked breeders almost non-show quality rabbits they have, and have found several hugely cute, perfectly healthy good-natured bunnies for a fraction of the price, just because they didn't enjoy certain measurements or colorings. My daughter's best bunny friend, we got for $5, and her mate was solely $20. They are very sweet little beasts, but make certain they haven't been mishandled, injured and try to get them young (2+ months) so you can litter train them and they can gain used to you as one of thier family. Do NOT buy a bun just because it's cute. Same with boys, the cutest ones can enjoy the worst personalities. Good luck with your search, and once you enjoy had a bun, you will never go back to yippy little dogs!
Hopefully most people will bring there rabbits from a animal shelter or breeder, I for one actually found my first rabbit on my front lawn, my other four rabbits I enjoy adopted.
Current rabbit: (Smudge) Stapeley Water Gardens~ He is gorgeous and is in fab condition. (He cost lb16)

Previous rabbits:
Jezzy: Breeder. (No theory how much he cost!)
Snowy: Pet shop. (He cost lb10)

By the way, some pet shops do take care of their animals really in good health. The place that we got Smudge from, he was in a big shut within indoors and there were only two of them within a nice roomy area with plenty of toys. Not all pet shops are impossible!!
My friend gave my my two, she breeds her Mini Lops sometimes. You can also get them from Rescue societies, and local breeders (try Google).
Answers:    Hi...I've been raise, breeding, and showing rabbits for 10 years. People get rabbits from all different places, but the best place is a reputable breeder. Pet stores and dealers are of late in it for the profit and often times have no theory where their animals come from. They almost always hold diseases and other health defects that cost hundreds in vet bills up to that time inevitably ending in unnecessary heartbreak. Breeders' priority and biggest goal is to better their breed and we take great pride in our animals and can also better guarantee a rabbits condition. They will also make sure to help you near questions about rabbit care and show you common handling. Hope this helps and please feel free to contact me with any other question.
I get mine from breeders. Pet shops do not take good strictness of their rabbits. For instance look at the cage they are in. Yea, tiny right? Hope I helped!

Well my family caught the rabbit from our back yard, and consequently kept it as a pet. But I'm pretty sure you can go to any pet store and buy one. Like Petco or something.
