Why are some rats evil?
I have had a total of 7 rats. I got one (terrance)and a week subsequent went to look for a companion for her which is where I found two more (twizzler and harriet). These three rats got along wonderfully and be very loving and never ONCE tried to bite me or each other.
sadly a year following Harriet...who was older when I bought her died.. about 7 months subsequently Terrance died...and Twizzler was a lonely only. Well, my sister told me that her school be selling their animal care rats...and that there were two albinos that still needed a domestic. Since I could tell twizzler was wondering where her hold mates were (when she would get a treat she'd run down her level and act like she was sneaking it absent from the other rats and then she'd look up and around like...well where on earth are they?)
I decided to get them...I introduced them slowly just within case and of them didn't like the other. Things went pretty smoothly at first. The rats I bought be very large and kind of silly, they had been fed intensely well and kept in one of those tiny little teraniums. My rats were feed well but they had three levels and a big pen so they were very lean and healthy.
two weeks after letting them move into the big hold they finally got the hang of getting up to the next level and then that's when things started going bad.
They wouldn't let me instigate the cage without trying to bite me through the bars, and they be so possesive of twizzler it was like they worshiped her, I got her out in the future and when I put her back they both imediately started to lick her and try to clean her off.
At this time I have started working third shift, and one morning my mom came to give me a ride home and asked me whether I had checked on the rats last night. I told her yes and they be fine...she told me she checked them before she came to get me and the two albinos have EATEN twizzler.
WHY would two rats that had plenty of food eat their cage mate after two months together?
I will never again own an albino rat.
I dont know but that is terrible! i know feeder rats will cut you up bad whether your not careful! I have a snake and he is on small rats. Maybe they killed her lead to she was too nice or maybe she started a fight. I would permit them go in a field and find another rat or two. start when they are small and let them grow together! it seems to work out the best!
I had an albino rat for 7 years that just recently passed absent. She was absolutely the best pet that I could have asked for. Maybe your newly unlucky?
Answers: Animals will do this. Sadly its a "survival rotten the fittest" thing. Other animals do this too. My friend had three chicks, and two of the chicks ganged up on the other and wouldn't let him guzzle or drink until he died. There was no real reason for it, it is simply in their nature. Three can be a dangerous number, enjoy you ever heard the term "third wheel?" Rats can be really territorial as well, and perhaps the two albinos decided that the coop was their territory, and twizzler had to walk!
You can not blame all albino rats base on one bad experince. Even rats that were properly introduced run a chance of hurting respectively other. Even brothers and sisters sometimes kill each other!
I'm very sorry for your loss, but trust me, not adjectives albinos are like this. I would know, I have a little albino girl and she behave great with her "family" (4 females are unrelated to her)
