A bulb for tortoises?
what kind of bulb should i get my tortoises for heat? , its starting to find cold and i used to put them where the sun is but now i barely see any sun .i inevitability the right bulb for them .thanks
Get the megaray MVB bulb. You involve to be getting the UVB lighting too so they can get proper calcium requirements. Make sure they cant get closer than 10 inches from the bulb though. The 100 watt should be polite enough. Heres the sight you can get it at.

Answers: the best bulbs for back ground heat is a terracotta heat bulb it does not give off any restrained so is good for night time use and if fitted near a thermostat can be controlled in the heat range that the tortoise requires and won't catch too hot or cold, if the sun light is limited afterwards you will also require a uv bulb will also be required to replace the natural sunlight, you should be able to get one contained by the 10.0 range quite easily repti glo does one to be exact not too expensive best of luck honey
