Ageing my leopard spotted geckos?
i got myself 2 baby leopard geckos i got them at the cleveland reptile show i be wondering how old they were one is 4 1/2 inches and the other one is 3 inches.and i went to the reptile show approaching 2 or 3 weeks ago if anyone can tell me how old they are it would be really sweet! thankfulness in advance!
Answers: hi there i would utter probally about 8 weeks old i have a little one jungle gecko i had her from a hatchling (a) 2 weeks old,she is now nearly 7 inches and she is 12 weeks out-of-date,mine has grown very fast indeed though.i hold now even put her in with my fully fledged females as she is large enough and they have taken her lower than their wings,hope you enjoy her!!
Size really can't be used as an indicator of age for leos because they grow at such different rates depending on how they are cared for. My guess is the little one is 4-8 weeks and the 3.5" one is smaller number than 3 months. I'd be prepared to split them up soon... that bigger one is going to start to be dominant really quick.
