Amazon Tree boas. 3 surrounded by one container?
I have a huge tank. 150 gallons. Its perfect for arboreal snakes because it is high-ceilinged and has branches all through out. Can i put 3 amazon tree boas in the one reservoir? I will be purchasing them all together at once.
no snakes dont need to hold friends in the cage and should be kept separate. like the later person said you can have snakes breeding to soon which can cause problems, whether one gets sick they all will probably get it..
the first character said you shouldnt keep adults together but you can keep babies together why is that ? what makes adults and babies husbandry different ?
snakes should solitary be kept together for breeding.
I will say this once, twice and a thousand times...NO!! Co-habitating is bad practice. You'll have inadvertent breedings, fights, possible attacks between animals and there's the minimal but small possibility of one eating the other during a feed response. Disease spread is also a very real possibility and it's also stressful for the snakes. They are solitary by spirit. Any snakes purchased should be quarantined for a minimum of 3 months before putting them in the same room, to say aloud nothing of the same cage. Nothing similar to mites, parasites or worse...IBD to kill off your collection. Don't do it! I don't perfectionism how large the cage is.
Answers: That would depend. Adults and sub-adults would mostly be best kept solitary. Juveniles could be housed together if you set-up correctly. Providing several visual barrier, elevated hides, perches, branches, water bowls and bask spots are recommended.
