Are here different species of ground loner crabs?
I thought there was one. anyways, please tell me their name and their characteristics, please. Also, what do you recommend for me? I want 4. (first time owner, but i have experience from my 2 year old cousins')
Answers: There are Caribbean / purple pincers. they have purple claws come surrounded by shades or red or purple they have rounder eyes tend to be larger and they're the most common species in the pet industry.
Next are Ecuadorians. they are sandy or brown surrounded by colour sometimes green. They are avid climbers tend to be smaller but are very sensitive to changes in habitat.
Other species are Ruggies also a brownish colour they own what looks like stiching on their claws.
Strawberries resemble strawberries in appearence. Red exoskeletion with white dots. They call for salt water for soaking. they LOVE to soak in the brackish water. They're Australian and very very sensitive to their habitat. they involve slightly warmer and more humid habitats.
There are more species as well but these 4 are the most adjectives in pet stores.
I like Purple pincers because they're the ones i started out with. but you can mix species. I own a mix of Ecuadorians and purple pincers.
The red ones with the purple claw are purple pincher's, there really shy,
The red ones that are just adjectives red are strawberry crabs, I don't know the characteristics of that one, never had it before,
And the brown ones...don't know, but they are VERY out going, I them best!
