Baby Bearded Dragon Not Eating Veggies?

I have a baby bearded dragon, possibly about 5 inches head to tail. He will every cricket I offer him but when I put a bowl of greens or fruits contained by his habitat he doesn't touch them! He needs to have some veggies because he's a baby. How do I return with him to eat some. And how long can he last without any because hes have about one chunk of carrot since i got him about 2 months ago. HELP!!
Baby beardies don't eat veggies i had to wait untill it be about 9 inches.
Normal. When I have my baby beardie and he'd gape at me, I would shove some kale in his mouth. He would later eat it, but now, even though he is an adult, I enjoy to hand feed him his veggies. He takes them very soon without a problem.

When they are babies, they need mostly protein matter, but its still not a desperate idea to leave the veggies in the habitat. Maybe sooner or later he'll decide he wants to try them.
Baby beardies need most insects for the most member. Eating veggies right now is not too big of a deal, but getting him used to eating them immediately would be great in the long run.

Buy some Phoenix Worms( http://www.phoenixworm.com ) and mix them in the salad. They will wiggle around making the salad more enticing to munch through. Of course you could always take the leafy greens and wrap it around the worm and hand nurture it to him. Never use mealworms as they have a very hard exoskeleton and are not uncomplicated for any aged Bearded Dragons to digest. Another worm you could use is Waxworms. Superworms are also great, but they are only good with mature beardies as these worms get up to 2 inches. Much too big for a baby.

Another thing you could do to entice him to guzzle the veggies is to spray it with organic (no chemicals added) Apple or Grape Juice. This will make them smell sweet and more appealing. Of course you can still append the worms too.

What greens are you using? I hope you know that using lettuce (romaine, iceburg) is a no no. Instead Collared, Mustard, or Dandelion Greens should be offered. Kale, Escarole, and Endives are also good. Fruits can be apples, peaches, strawberries, blueberries, etc.

Leave the salad in the tank adjectives day. If your dragon gets hungry in between feedings he'll own to eat what ever is available. Baby dragons should be fed insects 3 times a day (morning, middle, night) and can drink up to 50 or more crickets a day.
I believe baby bearded dragons are strictly carnivores. Once he get older he should except veggies more often. He's fine, he doesn't *need* veggies right presently.
my dads got a beard dragon and his dont rearly eat vegtables i gess its not that important as hes eatin crickets my dads eats collation worms and hoppers he loves hoppers there much better then crickets honistly i mean my dad doesnt rely guzzle at home so his dragon kinda copys him, animals do copy there owners tho! but what u cud do is make the veggies/ fruit look luscious run some water over it and feed it 2 his mouth he'l have no choice definitely dnt force it otherwise he mite turn against u!! but try doin that if it doesnt work ask a breeder or vet or where ever u got him from but i wudnt verbs he'l come around in time!
maybe his like us teens and he solitary likes junk food
he doesn't want veggies, mommmy!!
Answers:    He doesnt "need" veggies, whether he needs them he'll eat them. Normally he wont start eating veg til hes fairly a few months old. Always provide it for him, try feeding him worms (I know crickets and locusts are better but this trick will work better with worms, only just dont overfeed) in a bowl of salad he might pick up veggies with it. Other tricks are wiggling veg within front of him using a blunt ended pair of plastic reptile tweezers, if it moves he might mistake it for insect and munch on. And most importantly nurture your feeder insects healthy food, this will ensure he gets what he needs.
