Baby Leopard HEATING Help?
i have a baby leopard gecko and i have read so lots things about heating it witch one is more recommended a HEAT LAMP OR A HEAT MAT PLEASE HELP ME I NEED HELP
Hey I am a new gecko owner too and I have be researching like crazy! I ended up getting a lamp and a mat. Depending on the size pen you have I would suggest that also. I actually own 2 lamps. 1 for the day and 1 for the night so I don't hold to keep switching out the bulbs. They are both 75w and I have a 28gal tank. Good luck!
Hey, you really should have researched a bit more up to that time committing to something as it is not fair on the poor little creatures but here is the answer, get a heat mat and a grill lamp and you will need both. The heat mat go without saying and the lamp is a bit of additional warmth.
Hope this helps and good luck near your baby leopard gecko.

i recommend u get both like a lamp and a small mat for a corner of the coop because there is supposed to be one cold side and one hot side of the cage
ably i have a few leo's and i keep a 75W red light bulb on the roof of the vivarium. my roof is a peak so the light gets through i also have a thermometer within there i keep the hot side at 85-90F in the morning and 75-80 at dark, my cold side is always room temp (make sure the thermometer is close to the ground if is close to the grill source it will give a ridicoulous reading like 100F but the ground where the lizard is is in actual fact 85F.
Answers: both
