Baby Red Eared Sliders?
What do baby red eared sliders Eat??cuz i hav one and all i give them are these turtle food pellet.
i used to enjoy baby red eared sliders and it is good to give them bugs, tomatoes, and an occasionalal strawberry. These are treats for them. do not impart them much lettuce. they usually hate it. and pellets are fine for a foremost meal
Baby turtles need lots of additional protein - this means live food such as mealworms and crickets, until they are about 5 inches long, then they can put away primarily the pellets plus a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables EVERY day.
What size is 'baby' to you? Anything underneath 5 inches is illegal to own in many states.
Answers: Babies need a high-protein diet for growth: earthworms, fishes, soft-bodied insects, and liver and other non-processed meat, preferably dusted with bone meal. Once they become developed, you can start adding dark green leafy vegetables to their diet.

They NEED calcium and protein they get it from the fish meat and the fish bones. Drop 20 or so feeder guppies, goldfish or minnows in the tank and scrutinize them disappear in a few days! The more they eat the healthier the turtle. When I get these two 36 yrs ago all we had in posterior then were goldfish to feed so after 36 yrs and still going strong. They can get through goldfish!
This way when they swim for their dinner they get exercise also!
TOSS in a bird cuttle bone contained by the water for calcium that will promote better shell growth, it will dissolve real slow and if they get through it that’s fine!!
They can have garden worms, meal worms, snails, crickets, flies, crayfish small frogs, slugs, tadpoles dragon flies and anything that moves, but only as a treat.
They entail leafy greens Romaine, Butter lettuce. (Iceberg and cabbage are bad for them, any other leafy greens will do) for vitamin A that they need at least 3 to 4 times a week.
They love grapes and strawberries and squash apples.
.**Swollen cloudy eyes which funds lacking in Vitamin A. Which we all inevitability for good eyes. Google ‘vegetables with Vitamin A.
Did you know that they need to bask beneath a reptile light UVA/UVB for up to 8 hrs a day for the vitamin D that they need to grow.
i own an 8 month old slider.. for the first month i fed it frozen blood worms... i wiggled the dice in teh water till like 20 fell stale.. (their TINNY).. and he ate them.. i fed him that 2wice a day (when i woke up and when i went to bed) ... once he get 2-3 mths and u notice a growth .. feed him Reptomin baby adjectives turtle pellets.. their smaller than the normal size ones.. feed him those till he's big adequate to eat 2 or 3 at once.. which is usually about 5-6 mths.. after that.. nurture him Jumbo shrimp...aka Krill .. thats all u need to feed him after
... as for ratio
they influence to only feed him as much as his head.. so for the pellet feed him about 10 as an infant.. remember.. keep the portions small because u can other ad more instead of having to clean out the the rest
i gave mine small mealworms and waxworms, small crickets, pellets taht i broke into smaller pieces, and small krill. i also give him an occasional piece of strawberry, or dandelion leaves.
