Bearded dragon and 10 lbs of sand aid?
If i have a 10lb bag of sand how many gallons would that cover? how glutinous do i pour in the sand?
I agree with the others...avoid the sand. Not individual does it pose an impaction risk, and health hazard due to harboring bacteria from feces, and is smelly, but conjure the costs (and labor involved) in replacing ALL the sand every few weeks!

Yeah, if the beardie is less than a year antediluvian, definitely go with reptile runner or paper towels or something. They do have a tendency to be sloppy eaters and will ingest some of it. Anywhos, whether it's not a juvenile, then sand will work fine. I use Calcium sand because if they do so happen to return with a little bit in their mouth (which mine will from time to time), then it's digestible and whether anything, is beneficial as a small calcium supplement. But, as far as your question goes, 10lbs. of sand will probably one and only do a 10 gallon aquarium. The rule of thumb that i've always used is pounds of gravel to the number of gallons... So, for example, if you have a 40 gallon, next 40 lbs will be about how much you will need. I keep my sand nearly 2 to 3 inches deep as my beardie really likes to dig from time to time. I've have him in his tank with calcium sand since he be a year old (which has been roughly 4 years since he's a total of 5 years old now). He's doing perfectly fine in in that. He's healthy, active, and shows much response whenever another beardie is in the nouns. I would make certain to use calcium sand tho. You may be able to draw from away with silica sand (not digestible), but it's not worth the risk.
Answers: First; if you're getting any younger than an adult, don't use sand! It can grounds imaction which is often fatal!!
Anyways, I still wouldn't reccommend it, even for an adult. It's firm to clean, it holds bacteria. etc. I'm using tiles; easy to verbs, good-looking.
10lbs of sand is a lot! I'd fill your aquarium (whatever size you achieve; a 100 gallon is perfect for an adult, something like 4x2x2') and use any additional to refill as needed or to change the sand every now and later. I'd say an inch or so.
