Bearded dragon bedding and shedding?

i previously bought a bearded dragon (spike!) and the lady at the store said that he was 4 weeks infirm, so now he is roughly about 5 weeks. i currently have him on daily but how long til i can upgrade him to eco earth so if he swallows the bedding while eating itd be more inbred than sand. which bedding do you think is good for bearded dragons this small?. and i approximately get him a week ago and how often do they normally shed as babies. because so far he hasnt had any sign of shedding soon?and surrounded by the next couple of days i am getting more moss to create more humidity but i have put some moss in beside him . thanks any info is helpful
Newspaper is fine for now. Until it's an adult, I outstandingly advise against using any loose substrate. Other beddings that are appropriate for a baby are tiles, linoleum, reptile carpet, quality newspaper towels, etc.

As for shedding, if you're feeding him correctly (veggies along with dusted insects), temps are right, and along with the correct UVB, he should start shedding soon. Bathe him a couple times a week or more, mist occasionally. Misting isn't good everyday as it will lift up the humidity. So bathing for 10-15 minutes is best.

They shed every couple weeks. So yours will probably begin to shed next week or the week after. Just give it time.

Do not put moss, or try to create humidity contained by his tank! They are desert reptiles! They don't even need a water dish surrounded by their tank. They get hydrated from other sources like intake the proper veggies and bathing. While bathing they absorb the water. Humidity can cause vigour problems in reptiles that do not require it.

Here are a few websites about Bearded Dragons for you to check out. Sometimes people at the pet store do not administer the correct information, so you should read up and see if you are doing everything correctly.

Answers:    First of all, Beardies should NEVER be sold by anyone at 5 weeks behind the times. Shame on the lady/pet store.

You do not want the humidity very high for Beardies. If it gets too lofty, your dragon will suffer respiratory problems, among others.

If you are providing the correct lighting, temperatures, and diet, your Beardie will shed.

Mist your Beardie every day and contribute him/her a bath 1 to 2 times a week. This will help with shedding when it does start.

DO NOT verbs the Beardies shedding skin off! Doing so can result in harm to your dragon.

I hold a breeding pair of Beardies (Pogona Vitticeps) .
