Can a regular vet integer out what sexual characteristics my Ball Python is?
Or can I do this myself, and if so, how?

There is a way to do it yourself, by 'popping', but whether you don't know exactly what you're doing you could seriously injure the snake so it's not recommended.
Find a reptile vet(a regular vet would know less than you), or whether you're really dying to know and can't go to a reptile vet find an exotic pet store that has lots of well-cared for reptiles and have a receptionist check its gender. Pet store clerks are typically not recommended because they usually will try 'popping' and whether they don't do it right you would have the same problem as if you tried it yourself.
