Do I necessitate to enjoy a heat wad for a corn snake?
I want a corn snake and im asking for one for christmas. In my room i have 6 reptile cages with 5 have heat lamps and 1 having a heat pad. The temp. in my room during the day is something like 82 degrees F everyday. Ive been researching and ive seen that the hot spot should 82-88 degree. Would it be fine if the snake goes without a heat pad since my room is warm or should i buy one. If i needed to buy there is those outsider crab heating pads that dont get as melt as the normal ones would that work since they are cheaper and my room is already pretty warm? Thanks
Yes you do there cold blooded animals
You don't beyond doubt have to. What you need is to borrow a temp gun or one with probes that you can stick on the bottom of the reservoir. The ambient temperature may be good, but the snake is on the tank floor. So, as long as the floor part of a set gets a good range between the cool side and the hot side, you're well-mannered to go!
right are u saying u are gonna use a light and the background temp is ok
aslong as a basking spot is provided and the milieu temp of the tank is good then at hand shouldnt be an issue
as long as it has the correct hot side cold side and basking spot temps
No corn snakes do not need a heating pad adjectives they need is a spot to get warm and a spot to co when they draw from to warm a heat pad is a great alternative to a bake lamp but if you have one you don't really want the other as long as the Temperature stays constant and your snake has a place to go seize cool and has plenty of water.
Answers: I think it would be favourable to get a heating pad to place on the bottom (outside) of the container just so that specific area is warm. Just because your room is melt, doesn't mean the glass tank is.
However, my snake have no problems shedding/eating/living without her heating pad.
You will stipulation a heat source for this snake to thermoregulate when it needs to. If your room stays warm, a rheostat or thermostat will relief regulate the reptile heating device's output.
i have a corn snake, and i do have a heat pad in the tank...but they dont really have need of it. i find that my corn doesnt even go near it. if you do put a heat pad in, put it on the opposite side of the river dish...if you dont have a heating wad, definatly get a heating lamp...freshly cuz your room is warm, doesnt mean that the tank is. snakes stipulation heat to digest their food which is why i have both in my cistern.
