How do you know whether your Savannah Monitor have Internal Parasites?

My Savannah Monitor turns 8 months on November 28th, and he's about a foot long. Someone mentioned that I should watch out for internal parasites next to him, since I have friends and their Savs were all a foot long by five months or so-or so they said, besides. Is he growing at a normal rate, and if he did have vermin, how would I even know? He eats normally, every day, and he is stirring and not at all sluggish. The only thing is that he have really stinky poo! >.<

Thanks, Jen
Collect a token of his poop and bring it to your vet. They can analyze it and let you know what, if any internal parasites your monitor have, and how to treat them.
Hi jen,
sorry i enjoy no idea about an answer to your problem, actually i live contained by New Zealand, i've never heard of a Savannah Monitor, its the name that got me, i be wondering if you have a photo of him, so that i can show it to my daughter (who shares the name), hence my interest in what one is.
Cheers
Answers:    if he is kept properly and is not wasting away then i would not verbs about parasites.remember parasites do not want to butcher their host they want to LIVE with them. its normal for all animals to hold some parasites in manageable numbers when kept optimally and a monitor still loses substance and just fails, then parasite overload might be an issue. i dont twist my monitors un less they overall fail to thrive. yours sounds ok.(stinky poo sounds like your not feed it properly. stay away from the turkey, cat/dog food, and eggs. only feed mice and bugs.)
