I found a Mediterranean House Gecko contained by my room...backing?

Today i found a small little Mediterranean House Gecko in my room. Its about 1.2-2 inches in length and give or take a few 5mm wide, looks like a female. SHe is a really small girl, but looks cool. Its winter time down here surrounded by New Orleans, and i doubt she would be able to survive outside in the cold. I muse i wanna keep her in my room, then permit her lose when the weather gets better. Also i want to train her to fight and kill the mesquites and roaches contained by my room and bathroom!

how can i make living arrangements for her?

Oh and i will name her Lacerta!
looooooooooooooool. you're funny. too excited i guess
It's unjust to take wild animals and place them in captivity and its for a vastly good reason.

These lizards survive winter every year, let her stir.

And if she doesn't... survival of the fittest and her weak genes are taken out of the gene pool so future generation won't suffer the same fate.

You can give her some bugs first i guess, but you cannot prove correct holding her captive.
Answers:    I left a vivarium door friendly one night for some unknown reason and unsurprisingly there be an empty vivarium the next morning. A trio 1male and 2female house geckos were the occupant. That was over 10years ago and I now have an unknown number of them running around my walls and ceiling.

I send for them my clean up crew because they eat any crickets or cockroaches that escape, they also do a remarkable job of keeping numbers of house spiders down to a point where on earth I can't remember the last time I saw one.

My advice would be to just permit it run around clearing your house of insects. If you think it's not getting enough to eat buy it some crickets occasionally
Mediterranean House Gecko, (Hemidactylus turcicus) is a species of gecko. They are nocturnal and insectivorous, rarely exceeding six inches in length, and enjoy large, lidless eyes and yellow- or tan-colored skin with black spots, often near stripes on the tail. Their bellies or undersides are somewhat translucent. Though technically an invasive species, due to their habits and small size they rarely threaten populations of native animals. They are the lone geckos in the United States with elliptical pupils. Voracious predators on moths and small roaches, they are attracted to external lights in search of them. They emit a distinctive, piercing call somewhat like a squeak or the chirp of a bird, possibly expressing a territorial message.
